You need non drilled rotors...

I’m imagining how satisfying it would be to put an air gun tip on there and blow all the dust out in a single puff... just don’t breathe in for a moment afterwards.

What’s a few specks of brake dust to a face mask worn around my chin ? Just the flu, probably ?

Interesting how most aftermarket brake solutions have moved to slotted rotors for performance and cooling , but car OEMs still peddle cross-drilled rotors.

Ya... although nothing beats solid blanks for street use. Cheap and they work just as well

At least they don’t make brake pads out of asbestos any more (though it has “best” in the name so it can’t be that bad)

I seem to recall reading/hearing somewhere that a product is not required to include warnings that it contains asbestos so long as it falls under a certain percentage (1%? 0.1%?). I’m having trouble finding an official quote to support that, but ever since I read/heard it, it’s made me w onder if manufacturers take advantage of that rule to include a small amount in brakes and clutches. Asbestos is , after all, still a kickass material for heat resistance...

Drilled or slotted rotors are just for appearance on street cars. OEMs stick with drilled because they’re cheaper and cause less warrantee claims (noise, vibration, cracks, premature pad wear) and the fact that they’re less good than slots  at releasing gas buildup under the pad doesn’t matter if you’re not using race pads and working them hard enough to vaporize the binder.

Neither of them has any noticeable effect o n brake cooling - all that really helps you there is surface area and ram air.

I mean, other than the whole killing people, it’s a wonderful material for a lot of purposes
